Halloween at The Cobblestone

By Tim Hauserman

Fun things are happening at The Cobblestone on Halloween Night. Here are just five of them:

First, downtown Tahoe City is the place to be for Trick or Treaters. Businesses throughout town will be putting out the candy and putting up the decorations between 4 and 6 pm. Your little cookie monsters have a great opportunity to accumulate a massive stash of the sweet stuff in just a few blocks.  Begin at Heritage Plaza to pick up candy bags and glow in the dark necklaces then come on down to The Cobblestone.

Second, Come to the Costume, Candy and Cocktails-Halloween Sip ’n Shop at The Trunk Show from 3 to 7 pm. The Trunk Show is celebrating a soft opening in their new larger Cobblestone location with Candy for the little kids and Cocktails for the big kids (there are no adults at Tahoe, we try never to grow up). Sample a Blood Orange Margarita, and check out the  ‘One Night Only’ exhibit of Halloween themed sculptures by Scarecrow Jo’s studio.

Third, stop by the Tahoe Art Haus and Cinema. They will be running Halloween themed movies.

Fourth, Scraps Dog Bakery will be holding a Halloween costume contest for doggies.

Fifth, Come by Ruffles and Ruffnecks for candy and to meet that great Tahoe kid named Gertrude, star of her book, Gertrude’s Tahoe Adventures in Time. Available for purchase and signing by moi.

See you on Halloween!
